Apologetic
I'm very sorry
for causing you to worry
About the small note last night
I didn't mean to start a fight
And I'm ashamed of myself
Because I didn't know
that it will hurt you
It's true I was jealous
I admit I was callous
Now I realise I was wrong
But I can't stay like that for too long
So I apologise
My mistakes I realise
I'm so sorry
Please forgive me

Inner city plea
Save the whale and the spotted owl
Save the rain forests and the ecology
But who's concerned about saving me
Save the oil, the gas and the gold
But what about us
Haven't we suffered enough?
Save a toea - save a kina
While our next generation is doing time
Save a country that is my own
Save a thief at a savings and loan
Save enough to accumulate more wealth
But what about the people in the streets
Don't care enough to save our race?
We're not asking for handouts anymore
Because with this statement
We are declaring a political and
conscious raising economic war -
Actions speak louder than words
So act now to our inner city plea
Because if you act too late
No telling what you may see
You've seen the riots, the fires, rapes,
and the floods
Now what are you going to do?
Because the same troubled waters
that surround us now
Will also drown you.

The sun was bright and early this morning
Slumber rose in my eyes
A yawn or two
More salt disposed in tears
And my spoon swiveled dutifully
In my plate of rice
I wanted so much to see him

More or less of how to impress
The latest fashion of how you dress
To play a sport you know nothing about
And ruin the game and get kicked out
You buy something worth more than your pay
And upon your budget you cannot relay
You get into a fight where you're not involved
When there's a better way the problem can be solved
You jump off cliffs and fall off mountains
Running through fire and feeling no pains
You change you accent and walking motion
Ignoring the sign that reads "caution"
A dare devil crossing through traffic
You walk alone the darkest attic
You loose yourself when trying to impress
And upon yourself you bring a curse
To impress is to press
The things you're unable to stress
To impress is to search
The loyalty of those in your batch
To impress is to suppress
Your relationship between friends
To impress is to change
What seems to be strange
To impress is to identify
The friends and families tie
To impress is to share
To make others aware
