Cheshire Home receives gardening tools

By CLIFFORD FAIPARIK
CHESHIRE Home has received gardening tools from the Institute of Business Studies .
These tools would enable the home’s 20 resident children to work on their food garden as part of their physio-therapy training.
The home’s promotion manageress Nelly Savia said IBS had decided to donate garden tools as fulfilment of a pledge the school’s staff made during a function last July.
“Also, employees of the British American Tobacco and students from the
Pacific Adventists University had earlier cleared the area where the food garden would be developed.”
Ms Savia said working on food garden would be part of their activities apart from craft marketing and excursion trips in the city.
Meanwhile, IBS staff Vaili Kekedo said the school donation was part of their community service activity.
She was accompanied by Miss IBS Sheila Leo and 25 students who took a break from their academic activities to be at Hohola for the event.
