Peka gets the boot

LUDWIG Peka, the head coach of the national soccer league franchise team Tuguba Laitepo Morobe Kumuls, has been sacked for the second season and replaced with former assistant national women’s soccer coach Max Forster this week.
Peka said this week that he was surprised to receive the notice of his sacking from Blue Kumuls amateur soccer club president Chris Kunaban at his office on Tuesday.
“I’m shocked at the news after receiving the letter of my sacking from Blue Kumuls soccer club president Kunaban who advised me about my sacking as the head coach and my being replaced by Max Forster,” Peka said.
“The franchise owner of Tuguba Laitepo Morobe Kumuls must have the courtesy to inform me in writing and advising me about my sacking rather than someone from the amateur Blue Kumuls soccer club,” he said.
Blue Kumuls amateur soccer club president Kunaban confirmed that he delivered the sacking letter to Peka’a office on Tuesday, adding that it was the prerogative of the franchise owner to sack him and replace him with Forster.
