Work list for Temu’s attention

I WOULD like to congratulate Dr Puka Temu for retaining his seat as the Member for Abau and more importantly, his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister.
I would to remind Dr Temu not to forget the people who gave him the mandate and that these people have long suffered from the lack of service, including during Dr Temu’s previous term in office.
Just to refresh our Member’s memory, here are some critical issues that have to be given priority over the next two years:
*Rebuilding of the Mogubo Point wharf/jetty;
*Revitalisation of the Magarida (Iruna) health centre;
*Rebuilding and revitalising the Magarida airstrip;
*Improve all educational institutions in the electorate;
*Improve road access from inland villages to Magarida;
*Improve the market place at Magarida; and,
*Develop tourism activities.
I have a proposal to the Government, why not divide the electorate into two – Aroma and Abau. This should make it possible for the Abau people to see development in their areas.
