Nearing completion... Work on the K36 million Waigani Drive is in full swing. One lane of the 1.8km road was sealed last weekend (above). The road, which is being upgraded from a four-lane to six-lane avenue starting at the traffic lights near the Kone Tigers Oval at Waigani to the traffic lights near Boroko Motors, is expected to be completed in November. Launched by former NCD governor Wari Vele last February, the project is understood to be stage three of the Waigani Avenue rehabilitation programme.
