More raised in Lae drive for Team

A total of K141,000
in cash and kind were raised during a fund raising luncheon for
Team Morobe to take part in the coming PNG Games at the Lae
International Hotel last Friday.
Papindo Trading pledged K100,000, PNG WaterBoard pledged to
provide free water supply to all the sporting venues, Lae
Biscuit will supply T-shirts to the value of K25,000, Ahi
Holdings K500, FM Morobe, Jerry Nalau and family K200, Travel
World, Eastpac, Mapai Transport, PNG Sports Federation Momase
Region, Gusap Oil Palm, Mainland Holdings and Orica (PNG) Ltd
will make their official announcements at a later date.
Morobe Administrator Manasupe Zurenuoc, who handed over K150 000
as part of Morobe Administration contribution tos Team Morobe
preparations, applauded the efforts of the team management for
their time and efforts towards getting the fundraising drive
underway to meet their anticipated target of K300,000.
“I want to thank all the business houses individuals and
corporate sectors who have made their pledges in cash and kind
to Team Morobe to help prepare them to represent Morobe in the
coming Grassroots Olympics in Lae in November this year,”
Zurenuoc said.
“A corporate golf competition will be held on Friday, September
28, at Lae Golf Club and I kindly asked all of you to support us
by fielding your team to participate in the competition that
will be followed by dinner and an entertainment,” he added.
“I take this opportunity to thank you for selecting Lae as a
location to conduct your business and I look forward to your
support and to work with you for the development of Morobe
province and PNG.”
Team Morobe general manager Tokey Mambare thanked all the
business houses, corporate sectors and private individuals for
their financial support in cash and kind and said they will be
given maximum mileage at the games venues over the duration of
the games and through all the media outlets.
