Lae will play by the Rules

FOUR centres have confirmed their participation at the coming PNG/AFL championships that will be held over the long Independence weekend in Lae.
AFL/PNG rules council vice-president Thomas Gori confirmed the venue during the presentation of trophies after the Lae/AFL grand final on Sunday and said five centres will participate in the championships to select PNG Mosquitoes for the International Cup in Melbourne in August next year.
Four centres - Mt Hagen, Kimbe NCD and host Lae - will send in teams to take part in the national championships over long the long Independence weekend to select a strong side to represent PNG at the International Cup to be held at Melbournce in Australia next August, Gori said.
ìLae have selected a strong 63-man squad to undergo training to prepare for the championships that will be held at Eriku Oval to meet other centre to vie for placings in the PNG Mosquitoes squad,î he said.
PNG had taken part in the International Cup in the past two tournaments and finished in the top and losing to New Zealand in the grand final in 2005 and we hope to take out the International Trophy in 2008.
Gori urged all the selected players to pay their respective levy fees of K50 before close of business on Friday Sept 7 and Bulldogs are also asked to pay their fees to Patrick Polosi and failure to comply will result in being dropped from the squad.
