Lae Biscuit favour Spiders with uniforms

LAE Biscuit Spiders rugby league club were proud recipients of a new set of rugby league gurneys valued at more than K10,500 which their sponsor Lae Biscuit Company presented to them in Lae last week.
This was part of the K24,000 sponsorships package that covers training gear, promotional items and cash incentives to the players and officials in the A, B and Under 19 grades.
The A grade missed out of the finals race after going down to Highway Inn Royals 2-4, however the B grade are the minor premiers and the Under 19 are waiting to play in the grand final.
“Lae Biscuit is pleased to be associated with Spiders rugby league club over the past 20 years and we are pleased to continue that relationship with the club to see it succeed in venturing into programmes and activities that would support your operations in the future,” national sales and marketing manager Justus Rapula said in a statement.
“We confirm to your management a sponsorship package of K24,000 that covers training balls, A Grade match incentives (K3,000), B Grade (K1,500) and Under 19 (K500), coaches - A grade K500, B Grade K300 and Under 19 K200,” he said.
“Part of the sponsorship package includes weekly promotional biscuits valued at K1,200; 400 running T-shirts valued at K2,800, 100 running T-shirts and training equipment worth K700.”
Lae Biscuit Spiders president Yues Jacob Dane said the companyís sponsorship had assisted the unemployed youths in the settlements achieve fame in rugby league.
