The district boast some of the best Government agencies such as police,

Kerowagi Secondary School as well as the district’s health centre.
Mr Wau, while making the commitment, said Kerowagi needed to celebrate
PNG’s 32 years of independence with a view to remember the developments
over the last 32 years.
“And also remind ourselves of the developments challenges the district
has gone through,” he added.
The celebrations will involve host of cultural activities including
cultural singsing groups, ball games and karim lek (traditional singsing),
among others.
Mr Wau further urged residents of Kerowagi including members of the
police, district administration and the general public to be part of the
celebration.
The event will also seek to pay tribute to the district’s former elders
including Wena Willie and Siwi Kurondo as pioneer Simbu leaders, who had
led Kerowagi.
Meanwhile, the people of Kundiawa-Gembogl district will for the first
time observe the country’s independence in a meaningful way this
weekend.
This is made possible with funding from local MP Joe Mek Teine.
According to the organising committee chairman Joe Aglua, the Simbu
Governor Fr John Garia and Mr Teine will be delivering special
Independence Day messages during the show.
