Tabar urges ENB people to be productive

MEMBER for Gazelle Malakai Tabar has call on the people of East New Britain not to depend on others but to be productive in their society.
Mr Tabar said this during the 10th anniversary celebration of Vudal University.
He said his aim to achieve in the next five year was to increase per capita of every farmer in the electorate to 30%.
However, he said the three biggest problems stopping people to be productive in their societies were jealousy, land issues and culture.
He said people should talk about utilisation of land and not ownership.
He said there were many pieces of land not being used in many parts of the province and the nation.
Mr Tabar gave Baining as an example by stating that there should be an arrangement made between the Baining people to allow outside people to use the land to grow crops on hire bases.
The other issue highlighted by the Member that hinders people to be productive was culture.
He said people should organise themselves and keep only the cultures that contribute to their lives and not those that contribute to failure in the society.
