IPA forms now available from website

INVESTORS and business people can now access business registration forms online to start up businesses in Papua New Guinea without having to front up at the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) office.
Forms can be downloaded from IPA’s website www.ipa.gov.pg.
This was made possible after the IPA had resolved to upload all forms issued by the authority online to enable easy access by the general public with access to internet services.
Also online are application forms for the registration of trademarks and others that are issued by the Intellectual Property Office of PNG (IPOPNG), a division within the IPA.
This would enable clients who wish to register their trade marks and brand names under the IPOPNG or register businesses with the Companies Office or even apply for foreign enterprise certificates to download the appropriate forms from the IPA website free of charge.
Clients who use this service would have to pay only the lodgment fees to the authority when submitting their forms.
The move is a result of the IPA’s revamped website development project undertaken last year as part of its mission to provide reliable, detailed and up-to-date information to prospective investors so that they can make sound assessments of possible locations to invest their money.
