Koare wants to connect

I REFER to the letter “Koare wants to see light” (Sept 25) by Yampoita Kuwi.
Governor Anderson Agiru and MP Peter O’Neill must look into this situation immediately.
Koare is situated in an awkward position as administratively it is ruled by Kagua district in the Kagua-Erave electorate but politically, we vote for Pangia-Ialibu electorate.
This has led to the people of Koare missing out basic Government services at the end of the day through no fault of their.
Both electorate blame each other for not providing for the people. When election comes, aspirant politicians like O’Neill capitalised on this situation and promised to deliver in 2002 and again this year. But to date, he has done neither.
The people are suffering, school-age children cannot go to school, the little garden produce cannot reach Mendi and Hagen and the list goes on.
Together with Kuwi, I appeal to Agiru and O’Neill to connect us with Tindua rather than going through Kagua district.
We only need a road to get connected to the outside world.
