ANZ Lae unit launches hi-tech customer service

THE ANZ Bank branch in Lae yesterday began using the state-of-the-art Beam Net banking system that is enhancing customer services and giving guarantee that their savings are secure.
ANZ Lae, one of the three largest of the bank’s 10 branches nationwide yesterday, became the second to introduce the Beam Net.
Mt Hagen was now the only branch still using the old system. It is understood Mt Hagen will start using the new security system by the end of this year.
Branch manager sales and service Wallis Pingin yesterday revealed this, saying the new system “puts your face to your money and guarantees your savings are safe and secure”.
He said the introduction of the new security banking system sees ANZ as the most technology-advanced bank in the Pacific.
“Basically, technology had improved and fraudulent activities were high so we decided to enhance our security systems to keep our customers savings safe,” Mr Pingin said.
ANZ Bank branches throughout the Pacific had also introduced the new system.
