FORMER Southern Highlands governor Hami Yawari yesterday accused Police Commissioner Gari Baki of “obstructing” his own policemen from carrying out their lawful duties in assisting to serve election petitions.
Mr Yawari said it was improper for Mr Baki to order his men not to serve the petition on Anderson Agiru.
“We do not do things for nothing. We pay service fee for the police personnel to carry out their duties to serve the petition.
“We paid the service fee for the summons to be served on Agiru,” Mr Yawari said.
