Lahi are U21 netball champs

LAHI became the new junior netball queens after defeating Port Moresby (1) in the grand final of the Flame Under 21 national junior netball championships at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium in Lae on Sunday.
New comers Madang also dethroned Port Moresby (1) 26-22 to become the queens of Under 17 title and Port Moresby edged Central 29-25 to claim the Under 15 and Port Moresby pip Lahi 29-28 for the Under 13 title.
Elated Lahi coach Josephine Ila thanked his girls for putting up a great performance and going through the championships undefeated and claim the major honours for the first time to become the queens of netball in PNG this year.
“We were confident and the girls played together as a team and went throughout the three days championships undefeated and took the court with determination to beat the highly fancied Port Moresby outfit for the U21 crown is a big bonus to all of them,” Ila said.
