BAHA promotes condom usage

CONDOMS, when used consistently and correctly can help to prevent the spread of HIV, Business Coalition Against HIV/AIDS general manager Dr Anne Clark said.
Dr Clark said it was because of this fact that the National AIDS Council used condoms as part of its national strategy for tackling HIV/AIDS.
“The provision of condoms is also one component of an HIV workplace policy when helping businesses develop and implement it,” she said.
When AusAID’s HIV project ‘sanupwantain’ discovered 35,000 ready to use Karamap condoms in a warehouse, BAHA jumped in to help distribute those condoms to workers in NCD.
BAHA training resources coordinator Joe Bukikun teamed up with Nasfund’s marketing officers and other Nasfund staff to hand out condoms around the Steamships Property Division, The Corps Security guards, Nasfund security gate, Tingim Laip sports carnival, Taurama Army Barracks, Paddy’s Bar, RH Hypermart, University of PNG and to friends in Gerehu.
