Nickel project developer into sports

RAMU Nico Management Company (MCC) Limited has come to the aid of two sports associations in the Astrolabe Bay local level government area of Raikos District of Madang province with a K2,000 sponsorship worth of sports equipment.
The Coastal and Basamuk pipeline sports association were given the boost on Saturday by company representatives.
The donation included trophies and balls for various sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, including whistles for the Associations to use.
The company’s chief sports coordinator, Christopher Aizuwe and community affairs officer Jacky Wang were at hand to make the presentation to the two sports association.
“Projek I kam bai I gat kain kain hevi tasol yumi mas helpim long lukautim samting bilong kampani,” (Problems will come with the development of the project but we have to help look after the company’s interests) Aizuwe said
The Chinese developer according to Aizuwe has pledged to chip in more support to the sports associations when the mine starts exporting.
He reminded the people that the company has started spending, however it is yet to make money, adding that the donation was the start of many good things to come.
He also called on better dialogue between the landowners through their two chairmen.
The presentations were done at Kumisanger village sports field for the Coastal pipeline and Gawar primary school for the Basamuk sports association.
Aizuwe said similar presentations will also be done at the end of this week for the Maigari pipeline and Kurumbukari pipeline sports associations.
