Cops identify prime suspects

MT Hagen police have identified six prime suspects from among 16 people detained in connection with the killing of the deputy principal of Kandep Secondary School in Enga province last week.
The 10 others have been released and might be called to testify in court.
Highlands divisional commander Simon Kauba said last week that charges would be laid against the suspects soon.
Andy Toaps was travelling to Lae with his family and some of his teachers where their vehicles were stopped at a roadblock near Avi market.
When he stepped out of his vehicle, he was fatally stabbed.
Police detained three vehicles allegedly used by the assailants, including a four-wheel drive which belongs to the Wagi Local Level Government Council in Enga.
