Support women’s petition

I REFER to the petition by Dame Carol Kidu. She is the only woman parliamentarian in the male-dominated Parliament who continues to raise practical issues of violence, especially those that are directed at women and children.
She does not have to be a woman to raise such sensitive issues that are degrading the core of societies.
It is a problem that needs support from all politicians who are fathers, sons and grandfathers to women and children.
Lack of political support to agencies entrusted to uphold laws to protect women and children against violence have resulted in an increasingly alarming law and order problems, especially those directed at women and children.
