EDA Ranu has donated K2,500 to the Salvation Army’s annual Red Shield fundraising drive in Port Moresby.
Company general manager Bill Imar said he hoped other organisations would also step forward to contribute.
“We are please to donate the money because the Salvation Army helps the needy people in the rural areas and Eda Ranu also helps these people,” he said when handing over the cheque to the organisation’s public relations secretary Capt Soddy Maraga at Aopi Centre.
Capt Maraga said K236,500 had been raised so far and that all would go towards community development.
He said their target this year was K500,000.
