Abe, a man of guts and courage

IT takes guts and courage to stand up straight for what is right for the people of Papua New Guinea.
The ICCC commissioner has done that in the midst of the superficial arguments made by self-interest serving politicians such as the State Enterprises Minister who does not seem to know what laws he is referring to which Digitel is not operating in.
Thomas Abe is a true Papua New Guinean as he foresees the interest of simple people, thus standing to defend a decision that was made for the entire nation.
Digitel has gone through all the proper procedures and processes to obtain its licence to operate.
And in doing so, many ordinary citizens are now enjoying the efficient and cost effective services it is providing and most importantly, has created a lot of job opportunities for many people.
For the last term that the government was in office, it had boasted about the improving the economy of the country.
But in reality, there are no tangible outputs like job creation for many graduates coming out of universities, colleges and other tertiary institutions.
