Cracking down on defaulters

MANY centres have been helpful to submit their player registration by Sept 30 as part of the PNG Football Association requirements.
According to PNGFA general secretary Dimirit Mileng, most member associations have been getting their fees paid well before the deadline.
However, there are few - both full and provisional by status ñ who have not made any attempt to pay up at all.
He warned that his office will not be accepting any more late payments, even if associations do pay late. Late payments will not be registered for 2007 and that the funds will be held in trust.
Mileng said member associations who have failed to pay will have their name submitted to the executive committee for further deliberation.
It is likely that the names of these associations will also have it submitted to the disciplinary committee for the imposing or a penalty.
He said associations who have not paid any players registrations fee will incur a debt in the following year.
This simply means that next year, the affected associations will have to pay both 2007 and 2008 player registration fees. Those who fail to pay may find themselves de-registered.
“We would appreciate that all those who have completed their player registration fee and have not submitted their listing to have it submitted (full list of all the players and the divisions respectively) by the end of October,” he said
