HEALTH Minister Sasa Zibe will reopen health centres in the country’s 89 districts.
The facilities were earlier closed for various reasons like lack of drugs and facilities, medical personnel and staff.
Mr Zibe revealed this prior to the official opening of a new facility at Mt Hagen General Hospital in Western Highlands with K7.4 million funding from AusAID.
Mr Zibe said under his administration, he would make sure that health centres earlier closed would be fully funded to allow them to continue providing vital health services to the people.
He said the old system of delivering health service needed to be overhauled and that he would make sure the right people were hired for the job.
Mr Zibe also said he would find ways to to build staff housing for medical personnel and nurses.
