Saturn rise
I fall as you rise
Deafening screams
Did you hear my cries
Each time your gaze
Sears my eyes
I see Saturn rise

Released
Once, not too long ago
I became philosophical
despite being political.
With a dead man.
What is freedom?
Is it death by suicide?
After a broken home?
After a life of pain?
"I know freedom.
It was that first breath of air I gulped
after the gates closed behind me".
So Tommy (deceased) told me.
Once, not too long ago.

Sorry, not my line
(Selected letters of the Governor)
Dear Hue:
"We hanged a native
The other day and he died
A very brave death
"Said he wanted to become
A Catholic so Father MacEnroe
Received him. But Father Mac
Is very unpopular among a certain set
Because they say the native should be
Allowed to go to Hell."
On second thought, on a Friday
Morning, February 1934
And sitting on the verandah
Of the domineering Government House
That overlooked Fairfax Harbor
And Hanuabada, the Governor said:
"Sorry, that's not my line -
Certainly not nice of Brits
Speaking of potential nakimis
Albeit sons-in-law that way."
But Stephen died
Did not he, Governor?

Hide
A light of a majestic kind
Spewing out throughout the times
Touching the hearts of many
But not mine
For there is no joy in a struggling life
No smiles for the pain we hide
And though the truth we hope to find
We end up believing in lies
So who are we to judge another
When we are all guilty of a crime
And though we plead our innocence
Our pleas can not be justified
How long shall we stand aside
Watching the Earth slowly die
For it truly is a pity
That behind ignorance we hide
