Wantoks system
highly unlikely By EKONIA
PENI
A FRESH Airways Bears team should be favoured in the main match tomorrow
against BRE Wantoks in round four of the Digicel Port Moresby womenís
competition.
The Grizzlies had a bye last weekend which should have given them sufficient
build up at training after they lost cheaply (1-2) to Stingerz two weeks
ago.
Bears may start the match with catcher Tessie Komek combining with PNGís
international pitcher Maggie Josephs to restrict Wantoks from scoring.
Coming off a thrashing (8-2) last weekend at the hands of Bee-Hive Gazelle,
Wantoks would have learnt lessons from that loss to give them the platform
for a chane in batting attitude to upstage Bears.
The capable batters of Kolish Banam, Mathilda Moe, Catherine Tavol, Lisa
Polum, Sandra Sawaraba and Bakut Gire must lift their game and bat well for
a much need win to boost Wantokís morale for the upcoming matches.
In the other match on Sunday, Gazelle should beat Malangan. While on Sunday
the inform Stingerz should expect some stiff opposition from Dolphins who
have been improving their batting and fielding with every game.
