‘Blessing for RMCN in Usino’

RAMU NiCo Management (MCC) Ltd, the developer of the Ramu nickel project, and ENFI Engineering Co, the sub-contractor to MCC, continued to stretch out their community support programme in the Usino-Bundi district.
They donated more than K2,000 worth of goods and cash to the reformation ministries and churches network (RMCN) in Usino to assist them in hosting a mini-womens’ crusade from Oct 25-28. They also assisted in the opening of a church building in the area.
MCC, through its community affairs department, had donated K600 cash and ENFI contributed more than K1,600 worth of food and diesel for the generators as well as providing transport for pick-up and drop-off.
RMCN was a new ministry founded by Pastor Dian Warep of Tsak Valley in Enga province. The ministry was moving to all parts of the country establishing networks with individuals and other churches promoting God’s message.
It was established in the Usino-Bundi district five years ago. The assistance given by MCC and ENFI were seen as a blessing from God to carry out the good works that the ministry has been doing over the years.
Coordinator of social and spiritual development under the community affairs department of MCC Pastor Samuel Troggy said that the developer had plans to support the work of churches in the project areas.
He said the Chinese had their own religion and did not believe in Christianity but they had a heart for the people in the project areas and had great respect for Christianity and would continue to give assistance wherever possible in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A church elder in Usino area Eddie Itirai thanked MCC and ENFI for their assistance for the success of the crusade and the new building.
He said that God had plans for everything and the Ramu nickel project was a blessing to Usino-Bundi and Raicoast areas, regarded as the least-developed districts of Madang.
“The project is here to stay for more than 20 years and the continued assistance that the churches in the project areas will receive will greatly help with the work of churches,” Mr Itirai said.
He urged all churches in the project areas to work together in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the area.
