InterOil hikes Q2 output

INTEROIL Corp productivity climbed by 1.6 million barrels in the second quarter of this year, up from a year-ago of only 1.1 million barrels.
In its second quarterly report, the company said the increase was the result of fewer shutdown days during the period compared to the same period last year.
The report noted total operating costs were down by $0.8 million (K2.28 million) when making comparison between the quarters.
Thus the cost of production per barrel was reduced by $0.10 (K0.28) from $2.90 (K8.26) per barrel in second quarter last year to only $2.80 (K7.98) in the same period this year.
InterOil’s objective last year was to satisfy the domestic demand for diesel, jet, kerosene and gasoline while minimising production of naptha and low sulphur waxy residue.
