New name for old concept

NEW Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan has announced that divisional heads in the New Ireland provincial administration will now be known as directors.
He said his government accepted that change as an important shift from the old concept because it gave office holders new definition for character, accountability and purpose. A statement from the provincial government office stated the consensus was reached at the New Ireland 100-day summit last week during a presentation by a team from Department of Personnel Management, lead by Magaret Elias.
Ms Elias had said divisional managers and advisers existed also as team leaders tasked to direct and as such they had to be proactive and completely dedicated to their tasks.
