Top WB official on tour

THE World Bank vice-president for East Asia and Pacific region has arrived in the country on a four-day visit.
Mr James Adams arrived early Saturday morning where he was met at the Jackson’s international terminal by National Planning Secretary Valentine Kambori, Treasury Secretary Simon Tosali and senior officials from the two departments and World Bank’s PNG country manager Dr Benson Ateng.
Mr Adams left for Rabaul yesterday to visit the Gazelle restoration projects and meet with GRA officials.
He will return to Port Moresby this morning and pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Puka Temu and other senior Government ministers.
He leaves on Wednesday.
