Kaikai beats ‘em all

ROUND three of the “Spring into Summer Series” of Port Moresby road runners last Saturday was all Joe Kaikai’s because he did not have to contend against Milton Iakosi and Laurence Chandy from the Holiday Inn start.
Iakosi elected not to run and Chandy was attending a “go finish” party having served PNG public sector economic management and PNG athletics for two years,
Joe Kaikai had the 3.3km race at his mercy. He didn’t let the punters down as he won easily in a time of 12 mins 42 secs.
Noko Negosa settled for second place ahead of Rison Bane.
Kaikai now looks unstoppable to take out the series unless Iakosi decides to re-enter the contest.
Swans Pinampio, slowly recovering from injury, won the 6.6km event ahead of Andrew Tully and James Gurumi.
Carolyn Flynn edged out her dad in the 1.5km dash.
