Dance of the last patriarch
High upon these lofty peaks
Where Heav'nly dew bathes
the feet that walks the holy ground
These sandals, they come off
Thy feet be bare; imprinted
On sacred soil
Far below
a futile nation
hardened; make merry
The Patriarch leaps
They thwarted on
Yet
May these reap
A harvest in plentiful
Oh how their scribes exaggerates
Where are the proud tambourines now?
Have these become of soil then?

Thief
How dare you!
You knocked on the door
And I let you in
I trusted you so I let you stay
And without warning
One morning you were gone
You stole from me all my prized possessions:
All the pretty things in my treasure chest
You're such a thief!

Shirt
For goodness sake
Take off that shirt
It's been more than a year
It's all you've worn
For so damn long
I'm sure I've made it clear
Come on, come on
It's all but torn
Don't you have two ears
But wait
Hold on
Isn't that
The shirt I bought last year

Mind in Disarray
Can't think straight
A jammed mind
Nothing seems to quench
loneliness,
hurt,
fear,
anger ,
Is there a way out ?
I need
love and
forgiveness
By Alice Thomas
Forgive but remember
All grudges against him is all gone
I threw them all into the sea
My only nightmares
Are memories of his beatings
I don't know why
But they are still fresh in my mind
and it haunts me all the time
I remember that night vividly
the way he kicked and punched me
the alcohol stenched atmosphere
the broken plates and cups everywhere
and the mangled reflection of my face in the mirror
I think of positive things to forget
these terrible memories
But they keep coming back
I really hate them
It makes me feel sick
