Two Grade 12 students grab ITI scholarship awards

Two Grade 12 students from Lae Secondary School were presented with the 2008 International Training Institute scholarship worth K1,850 each during their combined Grades 10 and 12 graduation last Thursday.
International Training Institute general manager Michael Anchlow said that scholarships worth K25,900 were going to be given to 14 students in the seven secondary schools in the province – Lae, Busu, Bugandi, Bumayong, Lae Christian Academy, Markham Valley High and Wawin Secondary Schools.
The students were selected by their respective principals according to criteria set by International Training Institute.
The students Sharmaine Orere and Tina Kawai will begin training at the institute next January.
Other special awards were from Telikom PNG, given in appreciation to students that helped in the Telikom sales stall during the recent Morobe Agricultural Show last month.
