SHE stands head and shoulders above the rest.
AT about 180cms, Team Westernís netball star goal shooter, Daphne Hangrabos, 16, daughter of provincial administrator Nelson Hangrabos, has been leaving Lae netball fans in awe as she and her team continue to rake in win after win.
ìWe are doing really well despite our inexperience at big competitions such as this and we hope to do better in our other games as well,î she said.
The lass from New Ireland and Central province, who just completed her grade 10 in Kiunga Secondary is at the Games for the first time representing her province.
Despite, her slight injury due to a bad fall yesterday the team captained by Evelyn Geibob continued, to play well in all their games winning most of them by big margins.
Back in Kiunga she is also a keen softball player, following the avid interest of her parents.
