By BONNIE ABOLA
NOTHING beats team spirit with just a dash of sibling intervention.
Threes sisters, Millah (21), Salome (19) and Tracey Renson are part of Team Kavieng in the womenís volleyball games at the 3rd PNG Games.
The team so far have played well in their pool A losing two games to Central and Sepik (three sets to one) but spiking out Team Eastern Highlands in a close three sets to one.
The Rensons, who are representing their province for the first time, were picked for the squad through their provincial games during the Queenís Birthday celebrations in June.
Meanwhile, Team Morobeís womenís volleyball assistant coach, Lini Sommers is happy with his teamís performance so far.
ìThe ladies are doing really well, and so far they have won all their games and gold is a good looking prospect for us,î he said.
In the first PNG Games staged in Goroka in 2003 the women won gold and silver in the second games in 2005.
The team is made up of youths from villagers all over Morobe and Sommers is excited in showing off these young talents.
Captain Josephine Barasuru is confident that they will run into Team NCD in the fight for the Gold Medal.
