NESTLE Papua New Guinea (PNG) Ltd donated 90,000 boxes of noodles and 67,200 cans of Milo drink to the National Capital District (NCD) disaster coordinating centre for Oro province yesterday.
General manager Sunil Wickramasinghe said the relief goods were in Lae and would be shipped to Port Moresby for delivery to Oro province along with other stuff this weekend.
He said they decided to supply food for a start but they would be sending drinking water later.
NCD Governor Powes Parkop thanked Nestle PNG for the gesture and called on other corporate bodies to also help in donating for the disaster in Oro.
