EPC battle still on for the Cup winner

BAVA Park turned to be a battle field for Eastern Papua Carnival as soccer teams fight it out for the EPC Cup over the weekend.
At Union Oval One, the village team Gumilababa Blue proved too strong for the city boys, Lubaigu 3-0.
Sponsored by Jacob and Noami Ivaroa, Lubaigu boys from Five-Mile and Erima did not click allowing the fast Gumilababa Boys to win.
In the early game, Kaikuyawa Black upset the last year’s runner up, Ebony Stripes 2-0 while Oyabia Black and Bomatu Blue managed a nil-all draw.
Yota led by Jason Sigimata and his boys found the going gets tough against Hidomo 2 and settled for a scoreless draw as well.
Tournament director Edwin Soapa as stated on Friday’s paper that all teams must submit their master sheet or they will lose points.
The results for Union Oval 2, Telikom Park One and Telikom Park Two were not available for print.
Soapa said the coordinators of the Two Ovals failed to submit the summary score sheets that was why the scores were not available to media.
