NSL told pay up or no game

By SAMPSON BONAI
NATIONAL Soccer League (NSL) board had been called on to pay the Lae Football Association (LFA) for the use of its facilities last weekend or be denied further usage.
LFA president Tokey Mambare said yesterday that National Soccer League (NSL) owed Lae Football Association (LFA) K2, 000 for hosting its game last weekend and had not paid them any money this week.
“I called on NSL board to settle its outstanding bill of K2, 000 for the use of our facilities before the end of this week before they can be allowed to play their second game here this weekend,” Mambare said.
“The ball is on the court and it is now up to the National Soccer League to honor its financial commitment to pay us to enable us to settle our bills also and also to enjoy a good relationship with us.”
LFA technical official John Bal added that they will not include the NSL draw in the weekend fixtures unless assured of the payment.
