‘Please pay up your dues now’

THE Eastern Papua Carnival executive have issued a final warning to all clubs to pay up or they miss out on their vital points starting this weekend.
The angry tournament director Edwin Soaba and his president Aggrey Watson said yesterday that to day the clubs were taking the instruction for granted and not paying up their outstanding registration fees.
They said EPC will play their final round robin games this weekend and the defaulting clubs will face the consequences if they don’t pay the required fees.
Soaba said due to the NSL double-header match in Port Moresby, EPC has successfully secured the Sir John Guise Stadium ovals at Waigani – the multi-purpose and the main stadium to complete their outstanding matches.
He said that so far the games have been progressing well without hiccups. The only problems experienced during the games were the eligibility of some of the players.
“The Milne Bay had a lot of inter-marriages and also part Milne Bay players are dominating the teams in Port Moresby while some outsiders are not honest enough to tell the truth. The appeals committee are working very hard on it to ensure everyone is satisfied,” he said.
Meanwhile, EPC executive also would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Hekari Group of Companies, Leonard Louma and his family, Joseph Ealadona and many prominent Milne Bay people living in Port Moresby who have supported the tournament in cash and kind.
