‘Promote NSL instead of criticising it’

NATIONAL Soccer League is the first biggest competition in PNG developed just last year and must be respected, taken care of and protected by all means.
NSL operations manager Edward Tauloi made this call after noticing minor in-house administrative matters appearing in the media.
He said soccer administrators, followers and fans must take extra care to protect and look after NSL and work together to make it grow into a more professional league.
“Now as we can see PNG soccer reaching its peaks through the introduction of NSL, we should be proud of it,” he said.
“Just imagine how much time, effort and resources people have sacrificed to develop and introduce NSL. The work done to bring NSL to this far was not easy. It was with much pain and it was all done for the good of the game,” he said.
Tauloi said so much had been said, thought and planned for PNG soccer in the past but nothing as eventuated. “You can see a big difference now. Let NSL progress the way it is going and support it to develop it to a higher height,” he added.
“NSL is a semi-professional league and we have a long way to go before we are fully professional. And that cannot be done by only one man but it needs collective hands to cooperate from every corners of Papua New Guinea.”
“Let’s put other hidden motives behind and work together towards developing the National Soccer League into a truly professional competition,” Tauloi said.
