Madang ready to fight for victory

By HENRY MORABANG
MADANG Besta Fighters are all ready to take on Tuguba Laitepo Morobe Kumuls in the fourth round of National Soccer League match to be played at Lae Football Association Park in Lae tomorrow.
Coach John Gringo said from Madang that his boys are ready to face the challenge. He would make some changes in the midfield to prepare for any offensive play by the host.
Gringo said he would call on former LFA players Michael Yanum, Mol Buran and Stanis Gifinu to control the midfield while Niel Hanz, Robin Malok, Johnson Romo look after the frontline.
In the backline, he would call on lanky Tarcicius Mandarip, Joshua Kombuka, Dennis Kitchnoge and veteran John Panu for their services.
Gringo said the Kumuls will be strong in the midfield but believes that his Fighters can match the Morobe team.
Kumuls coach Max Foster said his boys will treat this game as very important after the shock loss last week. “This really puts the boys back on track to dig deep to see where they went wrong,” he added.
Foster announced that he would unleash the vital weapon in midfield maestro Richard Daniel in this match.
The PNG captain have signed with Morobe Kumuls but have not played because of injury he sustained in Honiara during the friendly international early this year.
With Daniel coming in, there are likely changes to take place in the midfield where Ken Gule and Sowera Gurti have been coordinating well.
Another two key players, Michael Foster and Armstrong Peka are under fitness question to take the field this weekend.
In the frontline, Foster is banking on Solomon Islanders Clifford Wate and Raymond Gunembo.
Foster said the team that cause less mistakes in the midfield will win.
