Sangetari joins OC

PHOEBE Kibikibi Sangetari from Oro province, who is a lawyer by profession, was last month appointed as Ombudsman by the Ombudsman Appointment Committee.
Chief Ombudsman Ila Geno and Ombudsman John Nero in congratulating Ms Sangetari said she was not new to the Ombudsman Commission.
Mr Geno said that Ms Sangetari’s wide experience in the public sector and the Ombudsman Commission made her appointment credible, adding that she will no doubt provide leadership and professional guidance and advice in the overall day-to-day administration of the commission apart from discharging her constitutional duties and responsibilities.
Prior to her appointment, Ms Sangetari worked as deputy solicitor responsible for international law and human rights matters with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
