HOKS3 Namona are the clear leaders in the Hohola Volleyball
competition after defeating 29 Mukies 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at Hohola
Volleyball Courts at the weekend.
In he opening set, Loi Walo of Scorpions club in the National Capital
District Association with his deadly hit was supported by Aisi, Gari, Veali
to win 25-19.
Iin the second set, Fairfax Association players consisting of captain Joe
Papua, Ovasuru brothers John and Junior, Gerald Avosa, Kati Apini with good
ball control won 25-23.
In the third set Mukis coach Gilbert Gilbert changed his game tactics moving
Loi Walo to setting and switching Aisi Aisi to spiking proved successful an
won 25-23.
Hok 3 Namoana regrouped in the fourth set with fast pace of game in skipper
Papua, Kati, Clerence, Ovasuru played strongly and won 25-21.
In the fifth set both teams controlled the ball as spikers from either side
exchanging good hits.
Walo was in devastating from inspiring his young changes however Joe Papua,
Kati Apini, clerence good blocking in the front court saw them wining 16-14.
Meanwhile all clubs are advised to register their players before taking
courts this weekend as failure will result in forfeits.
