Cup challenge spread

AN invitation is extended to all suburban rugby league competition to nominate for the Governors Cup which will be hosted by Morata Rugby League at Kone Tigers Oval next week.
The NCD Governors Cup is set for Dec 28-31.
Morata Rugby Football League president Billy Yaki called on Hohola, Kone, Boroko, Bomana and Sabama to field two teams in the competition while Motuan villages can field one team.
Yaki repeated the call after NCD Governor Powes Parkop came good in supporting the organisers of the competition by donating some money and shield.
The competition, which was initially called Powes Parkop Cup, has now changed to Governors Cup after Parkop was elected as NCD Governor.
The competition has been running for the past three years as the Powes Parkop Cup.
Flanked by his secretary Eric Willie, Mr Yaki said those teams wishing to take part have until Sunday, Dec 23, to pay their nomination fee of K150.
