Triples bowls crown to Lae

LAE brushed aside all opposition to claim its maiden PNG Forest Products sponsored mixed triples bowls championships in Bulolo at the weekend.
Lae Bowls secretary Albert Barakeina said Lae sent two teams to compete against the host team.
“I want to thank PNG Forest Products for sponsoring the triples event and all the teams from Bulolo for taking part in the triples event.
“Lae will have to defend the title next year,” Barakeina.
In related sporting developments Lae Bowls Club will be hosting a Christmas bowls challenge at the greens on Wednesday.
It is open to all bowlers, said Barakeina who will take down names for the draws.
