Facelift for PX exec lounges

AIR Niugini is currently expanding and improving all executive club lounges for its members at several airports throughout the country.
The latest was the Port Moresby lounge which was briefly launched last Jan 21, witnessed by Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare, who was on his way to Cairns, Australia, that evening.
Prior to his departure, Sir Michael, his deputy Dr Puka Temu and the delegation toured the facility and were impressed with what they saw.
Air Niugini chief executive officer Wasantha Kumarasiri said the new lounge setting was very innovative as it portrayed and promoted the country to the executive club members - especially those from overseas.
Unlike the past executive club lounge which only had basic facilities, the current expansion ensured additional facilities with a warm and soft Papua New Guinean setting – all being reflected on the decorations on the wall.
The creative decoration neatly tucked away in the lounge included Kundu drums, traditional vase, animal life and other artifacts and handicraft-all made of wood – signifying PNG.
The new changes now ensured a more relaxing and welcoming environment for executive club members waiting for their flights.
