VILLAGE court officials and land mediators in the Mul/Baiyer electorate in the Western Highlands province would receive more than 200% pay rise starting next year.
This would be among other benefits.
The village court magistrates, peace officers and land mediators in the district will have their monthly allowance increased from K70 to K250.
The officers will also receive new uniforms, thanks to the local MP and Minister for Internal Security Sani Rambi.
This was made known during a peace ceremony held at Kombolopa last Sunday, in front of a large crowd .
