SIX teams have confirmed their finals positions in the NCD Governorís Cup rugby league challenge to be played at Kone Tigers Oval, north Waigani, today.
The pool A teams who have made it are Morata Swans, Boroko Phythons and Henz Brothers; and the finals teams from Pool B are Hohola 2, Bomana 2 and Morata Bullets.
Organisers Ernest Willie and Morata Rugby League president Billy Yaki said yesterday that the first three winners of Pool A will play the first three winners of Pool B.
The three-day tournament attracted a total of 12 teams from the various Port Moresby suburbs.
It is a special occasion for Bomana because this is the first team it has participated with two teams and Bomana 2 have made it to the finals.
The winner of the Governorís Cup today will earn the right to host the next tournament next year.
Yaki yesterday appealed to all teams to play the game in true sportsmanship as part of their New Year celebration.
