A MAN charged with stealing K6000 from another person has been released on bail by the Waigani Committal Court.
Solo Poko, from Maramuni village in Enga, was charged with one count of stealing from his co-worker money that was paid by the National Capital District Commission for a contract.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar adjourned the case to Jan 11, 2018, for police to complete their file.
It was alleged that Poko and the complainant were contracted by NCDC to clean and provide security at the Gordon Market. They were to be paid K6000 each.
Poko was the only one with a bank account and both agreed to deposit the complainant’s K6000 in it too.
It is alleged that on Nov 28, 2017, Poko withdrew the complainant’s money and used it.
