AIR Niugini is expected to enhance its customer experience through a partnership with Sabre Corporation that will boost the airline’s operations.
This is part of the airline’s business transformation programme that will be done through the SabreSonic Passenger Services System.
Air Niugini chief executive Simon Foo said it was about combining technology and business consulting initiatives to reduce costs and improve customer experience.
“Air Niugini commenced its business transformation four years ago in the areas of customer service, cost management and changing our culture to better suit the evolving needs of our travelers,” Foo said.
“By moving to SabreSonic technology and its support services, we believe an integral part of our customer care will be enhanced.”
Sabre Airlines Solutions Asia-Pacific vice-president and regional general manager Dasha Kuksenko said the company was confident of expanding the airline industry.
“With Air Niugini now on board using our leading-edge technology for its sales and service platforms, we are confident about growing the PNG and Pacific regional travel industry.
“Sabre Airlines Solutions has been in the Asia-Pacific for over two decades and we continue to invest in smart technologies that capture new opportunities and address existing challenges.
“Sabresonic will provide Air Niugini with an improved e-commerce platform, broader industry expertise and tools for additional retailing opportunities and will come by the end of September this year.”
