Aisa’s double lifts Yamaros

STRIKER Patrick Aisa scored twice to help his Yamaros team beat Erima Flyovers 3-0 in the main game of Port Moresby Soccer FA Cup at CIS College Oval yesterday.
The other goal was scored by Bida Kaniyosi to bring Yamaros to the top of the men’s pool C in the FA Cup challenge.
The other matches in pool C saw Tarangau picking up three easy competition points by forfeiting Guria, while on Saturday, Rapatona edged Blue Kumul 2 1-0.
Mungkas was on bye.
The Yamaros and Flyovers challenge was exciting as the unknowns from Erima, Gordon, held on the highly-rated team, Yamaros, for a good 20 minutes before they found the net with Aisa’s goal.
Aisa was assisted by captain Amon Meki, Gerard Makein, Young Ricky, Kepas Evoa and George Yaleba to ensure they won.
Flyovers, on the other hand, had several opportunity but too much individual play denied them the opportunity to score goals.
Former Mungkas junior and Hekari player Ishmael Donaldson was selfish at times, denying his team-mates opportunities at goal.
Rupen Ott, William David, Kenneth Pombo, Joel Siwin and Josh Gillot stood out for Flyovers, while Aisa and Kaniyosi shone for the winner.
In the women’s division, Yamaros forfeited Tarangau on Sunday, while Mungkas forfeited Guria on Saturday. Meanwhile, PMSA match coordinator Robert Sabadi said the there would be no game during this weekend. Results: Mens Pool A: Mainum 2, Vitas 1; Mungkas 2, Guria 0; Maclaren 6, Vitas 0.
